Volunteer Opportunities

Espere offers multiple internship opportunities to qualified individuals who have a heart to see peace of mind in Haiti. Our current internship program consists of 3 sessions (Spring, Summer, Fall), each lasting 3 months. Shorter-term volunteer opportunities are also available, upon request. While in Haiti, interns help the operations on the ground run more smoothly, ultimately helping Espere continue its vision of strengthening individuals, families, and communities by providing counseling, community outreach support, education and hope in Haiti. Our main internship types are as follows:

Counseling and Training Internship

Additionally, individuals with specific skillsets outside of these areas are also encouraged to apply. Interns MUST be at least 21 years old.

  • Spring:   February - May

  • Summer:   June - August

  • Fall:   September - November


  • Interns will live in a safe, furnished apartment close to Espere staff.

  • An internship fee which includes airport pickup & drop off, lodging, one meal per day, and work-related transportation is required.

  • This fee does not include flights, travel vaccinations, travel insurance, cultural excursions, extra food or any other personal expenses. These are the responsibility of the intern and can be raised through support.
